The #LunchBoxChallenge, an initiative that was conceptualised by a group of final year business students participating in a strategic thinking course at UCT, took place on the Jammie steps at UCT Upper Campus today from 11:30am until 1pm.
This initiative, which involved volunteer UCT students spreading 750 sandwiches for distribution to the learners at St. Paul’s Primary School and Observatory Junior School, afforded PSFA with the opportunity to create awareness of the work we do and to raise funds. The event managed to raise R1 194.00. This amount will enable PSFA to provide over two children with daily breakfast and lunches while at school for an entire year!
The students approached PSFA because they believed in the work we do and to get the students at UCT actively involved with PSFA. SASKO kindly sponsored the loaves of bread – thank you!
