400 children at Lingomso Primary in Tulbagh join our feeding programme

The Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA) is delighted to announce that, In response to a special request from the Western Cape Education Department (WCED), today we added 400 underprivileged learners at Lingomso Primary School in Tulbagh onto our feeding programme. Representatives of the Western Cape Department of Education (WCED) and PSFA staff members attended this special occasion.

Over and above the provision of dry ingredients together with fruit and vegetables for a weekly set menu, PSFA also supplied the school with plates, spoons, cooking equipment and cooking gas when needed. PSFA will be paying two food preparers with a monthly stipend.

PSFA anticipates that in a year from today’s launch, we would have served 158 400 meals to the 400 learners at this school.

PSFA has been able to provide this much-needed service to the disadvantaged children of Tulbagh, thanks to the generous support of our donors. PSFA is also proud to be of support to the WCED in addressing the feeding requirement at this school.
